SENSOR PLATFORM FOR PAPER
Basis Weight and Moisture Measurement
The sensor platform for paper has been designed for scanning measurement of basis weight and moisture on light weight papers such as tissue, printing and writing, newsprint and specialty grades. The platform features a nuclear gauge for basis weight and an infrared-based sensor for moisture. The platform is designed to support more sensors including a non-contacting laser gauge for thickness (caliper) and colour sensor for colour, brightness and opacity. The sensor complement depends on the specific application.
