Energy
Our experience in the energy sector comes from the close association with dendroenergy -energy from trees- in the pulp and paper industry, where wood chips are used to cogenerate heat and power. Similarly, geothermal energy -heat from the earth- is also used to generate power and it can also produce useful heat. We also pursue cogeneration as a good idea to consider where possible, as its efficiency is one of the highest in the energy space. With this background, we look at power generation with a holistic approach to the supply and demand market and seek opportunities where power requirements can be met with renewable energy resources to produce and store electricity, heat or both. We also abide by the distributed energy concept as complementary to the centralized model and aim to find the supply mix that best achieves energy generation and efficiency targets.
Our services range from fact finding energy opportunities and issues that have an impact on availability, reliability, resilience and affordability of electricity and space and water heating for communities, institutional and industrial organizations, to supplying advisory and engineering services to model larger scale biomass and geothermal plants.
