ABOUT

Built upon the international experience gained as a systems integrator of high technology measurement and control equipment for the pulp and paper industry since 1991, TTC Canada has evolved into the technology integrator of today with a mission to find sensible engineering solutions to the tasks brought about by the shifting energy paradigm.

Navigating the global network of organizations and businesses urging climate action and adoption of alternative energy can be challenging, particularly when sorting out the hype from workable solutions for power generation, energy storage, water scarcity and adaptation to weather extremes. We believe that the “one-size-fits- all” approach to solving the energy dilemma does not work when dealing with nature and we strive to find a feasible balance amongst available natural resources, the environment, technology and investment required to develop and implement climate solutions.

OUR WORK

The focus of our work is on the small and medium-size industrial, agricultural and institutional sectors, where the energy transition is affecting their activity and economic performance. We seek collaboration with partners to bring the technologies, engineering services and project management expertise to address each job opportunity. Sample past projects include consulting to design a close loop controlled biomass-fired hydronic heating system (Canada), economic projection of a biomass cogeneration plant for a sawmill (Chile), feasibility study for a cogeneration oat milling plant, consulting and engineering services to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in a paperboard mill (Ukraine), development plan for a net-zero greenhouse pilot project (Canada), technical due diligence for an atmospheric water producing project in Latin America.

WHAT WE DO

Our operating model starts with uncovering the business opportunity and conducting technical evaluation to determine initial project feasibility, potential economic performance and risk factors. A positive outlook on the return on investment will set the stage to engage services to develop a bankable feasibility study, assist clients in the search for financing and make available the necessary resources to undertake development of the project.

TTC Canada maintains a collaborative understanding with EFI Engineering (www.efiengineering.com), a multi-discipline engineering firm providing engineering services to industrial, commercial, institutional, residential, and municipal sectors for more than 25 years. EFI and TTC Canada will work together to supply the full scope of project services to deliver results.
